The Rivers appeared before a capacity crowd (500+) on this night in the century-old Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. It was their second consecutive appearance at the annual BLOBFEST* film festival. On this 50th anniversary night, The Rivers featured hit songs from 1957, including those of Buddy Holly (Peggy Sue, That'll Be the Day), Eddie Cochran (Summertime Blues, Twenty Flight Rock), Elvis Presley (Heartbreak Hotel), and Carl Perkins (Blue Suede Shoes).
Besides their BLOBFEST appearances, The Rivers took to the stage of the Colonial Theater in August, 2006 for the debut of their tribute show, "ROCKABILLY DAYS!". In July, 2007, they premiered their children's show, "SILLY ROCKABILLY!" as part of the Colonial's CHILDREN'S SUMMER SERIES. "SILLY ROCKABILLY" was re-booked for the summer of 2008. "ROCKABILLY DAYS" also returned to the Colonial in 2008 and played in three other regional theatrical venues: Sellersville Theater 1894, the Hamburg Strand, and the Sovereign Majestic in Pottsville.
"We look forward to working with The Rivers again. Their tribute show, 'ROCKABILLY DAYS!' was a great success and ended with a standing ovation."
~ Mary Foote, Executive Director, Colonial Theatre
